Our guiding philosophy

At G.R.O.W Counselling Service, I believe in a therapeutic journey that is as unique as you are. Discover the heart of my approach, designed to support, empower, and encourage growth for every individual and family I work with.

Specialised support for neurodivergent young people

I specialise in working with neurodivergent and neurotypical  children and young people, including those who are autistic between the ages of 8-25 years. I support them in navigating challenges with emotional regulation and executive functioning. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced to each individual's needs. I also work closely with parents and carers, offering guidance that is practical, compassionate, and rooted in real-world experience. Expect support that is both deeply personal and informed by the wider context families are navigating.

Your journey, your pace

Everything starts with a 15-20 minute consultation, giving you the space to talk about what you need without any pressure. This initial conversation helps us decide together on the best next steps for you. There is no obligation to start therapy, no judgement, and no pressure. Our process is always led by you, for you, ensuring comfort and empowerment from your very first contact.

Warm, direct, and neuroaffirming

My counselling style is warm, direct, and grounded in neuro-affirming practice. I work collaboratively, offering a space where children, young people, and families feel understood, respected, and supported. My approach blends therapeutic skills with specialist SEND and neurodevelopmental knowledge, helping clients make sense of their experiences in ways that feel safe, practical, and empowering. I focus on building strong relationships, using clear communication, gentle curiosity, and evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, executive functioning, and wellbeing. Sessions are paced to the young person's needs, with an emphasis on reducing overwhelm, increasing confidence, and strengthening everyday coping skills. My work is relational, strength-based, and grounded in kindness – creating a space where people can talk, explore, and grow.
